Ingredients:
- 1 pound (450g) fresh asparagus, thick or medium spears, washed and trimmed
- 1 tablespoon (15ml) olive oil
- 1/4 teaspoon (1.5g) garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon (1.5g) onion powder
- 1/4 teaspoon (1.5g) salt, or to taste
- 1/4 teaspoon (1.5g) black pepper, freshly ground, or to taste
- 1 tablespoon (7g) grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
- 1 tablespoon (15ml) fresh lemon juice (optional)
Instructions:
- Wash the asparagus thoroughly and snap off the tough ends.
- In a bowl, toss the asparagus with olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper until evenly coated.
- Arrange the asparagus in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
- Air fry at 400°F (200°C) for 8-12 minutes, or until tender-crisp and slightly browned. Shake the basket halfway through for even cooking.
- Remove asparagus from the air fryer. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese (if using) and drizzle with lemon juice (if using). Serve immediately.
