Ingredients:

  • 2 cups (250g) all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon (5g) salt
  • 1 teaspoon (5g) sugar
  • 1 teaspoon (4g) instant yeast
  • ¾ cup (180ml) warm water (about 110°F/43°C)
  • 1 tablespoon (15ml) olive oil

Instructions:

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and instant yeast. Let it sit for 5 minutes until frothy.
  2. Add olive oil to the yeast mixture.
  3. In a separate bowl, mix flour and salt.
  4. Gradually add dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring with a wooden spoon until a shaggy dough forms.
  5. Turn the dough onto a lightly floured surface.
  6. Knead for about 3-4 minutes until smooth and elastic, using additional flour as necessary.
  7. Allow the dough to rest for 10 minutes, covered with a clean kitchen towel.
  8. Preheat the oven to 475°F (245°C).
  9. Roll out the dough to desired thickness (about ¼ inch) and transfer to a baking sheet or pizza stone.
  10. Top with your choice of sauce, cheese, and toppings.
  11. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbly.
