Ingredients:
- 2 cups (250g) all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon (5g) salt
- 1 teaspoon (5g) sugar
- 1 teaspoon (4g) instant yeast
- ¾ cup (180ml) warm water (about 110°F/43°C)
- 1 tablespoon (15ml) olive oil
Instructions:
- In a mixing bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and instant yeast. Let it sit for 5 minutes until frothy.
- Add olive oil to the yeast mixture.
- In a separate bowl, mix flour and salt.
- Gradually add dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring with a wooden spoon until a shaggy dough forms.
- Turn the dough onto a lightly floured surface.
- Knead for about 3-4 minutes until smooth and elastic, using additional flour as necessary.
- Allow the dough to rest for 10 minutes, covered with a clean kitchen towel.
- Preheat the oven to 475°F (245°C).
- Roll out the dough to desired thickness (about ¼ inch) and transfer to a baking sheet or pizza stone.
- Top with your choice of sauce, cheese, and toppings.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes or until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbly.
