Ingredients:

  • 1 lb (450 g) baby Bella mushrooms, cleaned and sliced
  • 2 tablespoons (30 ml) olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon fresh thyme leaves (or ½ teaspoon dried thyme)
  • 1 tablespoon (15 ml) balsamic vinegar
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions:

  1. Clean the baby Bella mushrooms with a damp cloth and slice them into even pieces for uniform cooking.
  2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat until shimmering.
  3. Add the sliced mushrooms to the skillet in a single layer. Cook without stirring for 2-3 minutes until browned and then stir occasionally for another 3-4 minutes until mushrooms are tender and lightly browned.
  4. Quickly stir in the minced garlic and fresh thyme, sautéing for an additional 1-2 minutes until garlic is fragrant.
  5. Drizzle with balsamic vinegar, stirring to coat, and season with salt and pepper to taste.
  6. Transfer to a serving dish, garnish with chopped parsley, and serve immediately.
