Ingredients:

  • 1 oz sweet vermouth
  • 2 dashes Angostura bitters
  • Maraschino cherry (for garnish)
  • 2 oz rye whiskey
  • 1 sugar cube
  • 2 dashes Peychaud’s bitters
  • Absinthe (for rinsing)
  • Lemon twist (for garnish)
  • 2 oz rye whiskey
  • 1 sugar cube
  • 2 dashes Angostura bitters
  • Orange twist (for garnish)

Instructions:

  1. Gather all ingredients and equipment.
  2. Measure rye whiskey, sweet vermouth, and bitters into the mixing glass for Classic Rye Manhattan.
  3. Add ice and stir for about 30 seconds until well chilled.
  4. Strain the mixture into a chilled cocktail glass.
  5. Garnish with a maraschino cherry.
  6. Rinse an old-fashioned glass with absinthe and discard excess for Sazerac.
  7. In a separate glass, muddle sugar cube with bitters.
  8. Add rye whiskey and ice, stir well.
  9. Strain into the prepared glass.
  10. Garnish with a lemon twist.
  11. Place sugar cube in a rocks glass and add bitters for Rye Old Fashioned.
  12. Muddle sugar and bitters until combined.
  13. Add rye whiskey and stir gently.
  14. Add ice and stir until chilled.
  15. Garnish with an orange twist.
