Ingredients:

  • 1 1/4 cups (150g) All-Purpose Flour
  • 1/2 cup (113g) Unsalted Butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup (100g) Granulated Sugar
  • 1/4 cup (50g) Packed Light Brown Sugar
  • 2 tablespoons (30ml) Milk
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/2 cup (85g) Mini Chocolate Chips

Instructions:

  1. Spread flour on a baking sheet and bake at 350°F (175°C) for 5 minutes, or microwave in 30-second intervals until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C), stirring in between. Let cool completely.
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy using an electric mixer.
  3. Beat in the milk and vanilla extract until well combined.
  4. Gradually add the cooled, heat-treated flour and salt to the wet ingredients, mixing on low speed until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.
  5. Gently fold in the mini chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
  6. Cover and chill for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld and the dough to firm up slightly (optional).
