Ingredients:
- 1 1/4 cups (150g) All-Purpose Flour
- 1/2 cup (113g) Unsalted Butter, softened
- 1/2 cup (100g) Granulated Sugar
- 1/4 cup (50g) Packed Light Brown Sugar
- 2 tablespoons (30ml) Milk
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
- 1/4 teaspoon Salt
- 1/2 cup (85g) Mini Chocolate Chips
Instructions:
- Spread flour on a baking sheet and bake at 350°F (175°C) for 5 minutes, or microwave in 30-second intervals until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C), stirring in between. Let cool completely.
- In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy using an electric mixer.
- Beat in the milk and vanilla extract until well combined.
- Gradually add the cooled, heat-treated flour and salt to the wet ingredients, mixing on low speed until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.
- Gently fold in the mini chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
- Cover and chill for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld and the dough to firm up slightly (optional).
