Ingredients:
- 1 cup (125g) all-purpose flour (heat-treated)
- ½ cup (115g) unsalted butter, softened
- ½ cup (100g) brown sugar, packed
- ¼ cup (50g) granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- ½ cup (90g) chocolate chips (semi-sweet or milk chocolate)
- Drizzle of melted chocolate
- Sprinkles or crushed nuts
Instructions:
- If unheated, spread all-purpose flour onto a baking sheet and bake at 350°F (175°C) for 5 minutes to kill bacteria. Let cool.
- In a mixing bowl, combine softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar. Mix until light and fluffy.
- Add vanilla extract and salt to the creamed mixture, mixing until fully combined.
- Gradually add in the cooled, heat-treated flour, mixing just until combined.
- Gently fold in chocolate chips with a rubber spatula until evenly distributed.
- Scoop into serving bowls and drizzle with melted chocolate or add toppings as desired.
