Ingredients:

  • 1 large head of broccoli (approximately 1.5 lbs / 680g), cut into florets
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil (30ml), extra virgin preferred
  • 2-3 cloves garlic, minced (adjust to taste, roughly 1 tablespoon)
  • ½ teaspoon sea salt (3g), or to taste
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper (1g), freshly ground preferred
  • Optional: Red pepper flakes, a pinch (for a little kick)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Wash and dry the broccoli florets thoroughly.
  3. In a large bowl, toss the broccoli florets with olive oil, minced garlic, salt, and pepper. Ensure all florets are evenly coated.
  4. Spread the broccoli in a single layer on the baking sheet, ensuring they are not overcrowded.
  5. Roast for 20-25 minutes, or until the broccoli is tender-crisp and slightly charred around the edges. Flip the broccoli halfway through for even roasting.
  6. Remove from the oven and serve immediately.
