Ingredients:
- 2 ripe avocados (about 300 grams total), peeled and pitted
- 1/2 cup (90 grams) high-quality dark chocolate (70% cocoa or higher), chopped
- 1/4 cup (60 ml) maple syrup or honey
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- A pinch of sea salt
- Cocoa powder (for garnish, optional)
- Fresh mint leaves (for garnish, optional)
- Berries (e.g., raspberries or strawberries, for garnish, optional)
Instructions:
- Place chopped dark chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave in 30-second intervals until fully melted; stir between each interval.
- In a blender or food processor, add the ripe avocados, melted chocolate, maple syrup (or honey), vanilla extract, and salt. Blend until smooth and creamy, scraping down the sides as needed.
- Taste the mousse and adjust sweetness if needed by adding more sweetener.
- Transfer the mousse to serving dishes and chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes to firm up.
- Before serving, dust with cocoa powder and top with fresh mint leaves or berries if desired.
