Ingredients:
- 1 pound (450g) breakfast sausage (pork or turkey)
- 1/4 cup (30g) all-purpose flour
- 4 cups (960ml) whole milk
- 1 teaspoon (5g) garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon (5g) onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon (2.5g) black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon (2.5g) salt (to taste)
- 1/4 teaspoon (1g) crushed red pepper flakes (optional)

Instructions:
- Heat a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add breakfast sausage to the skillet, breaking it apart with a wooden spoon. Cook until browned and fully cooked (about 5-6 minutes).
- Sprinkle flour over the cooked sausage. Stir for 1-2 minutes to cook out the raw flour taste.
- Pour the sausage and flour mixture into the slow cooker. Add milk, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, and crushed red pepper flakes.
- Stir to combine. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours, stirring occasionally, if able.
- After cooking, taste the gravy and adjust seasoning with salt and pepper as needed.
- Ladle the sausage gravy over warm biscuits or toast.
