Ingredients:
- 1 cup (240 ml) Ketchup
- 1/2 cup (120 ml) Apple Cider Vinegar
- 1/4 cup (60 ml) Worcestershire Sauce
- 1/4 cup (50 g) Brown Sugar, packed
- 2 tablespoons (30 ml) Molasses
- 1 tablespoon (15 ml) Smoked Paprika
- 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder
- 1/2 teaspoon Onion Powder
- 1/4 teaspoon Cayenne Pepper (or more, to taste)
- 1/4 teaspoon Ground Black Pepper
- 1 tablespoon (15 ml) Dijon Mustard
- 1 tablespoon (15 ml) Tomato Paste
Instructions:
- In the medium saucepan, whisk together all the ingredients. Ensure the brown sugar is broken up and evenly distributed.
- Bring the mixture to a gentle simmer over medium heat.
- Reduce the heat to low and simmer, uncovered, for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally to prevent sticking. The sauce will thicken slightly.
- Taste the sauce and adjust seasonings as needed. Add more cayenne for heat, brown sugar for sweetness, or vinegar for tang.
- Remove from heat and let the sauce cool completely. Transfer to an airtight jar or container and store in the refrigerator.
