Ingredients:

  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons gochujang (Korean chili paste)
  • 2 tablespoons honey or brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 6 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1-inch piece of ginger, grated
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 2 pounds chicken wings (about 12-15 wings)
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds (for garnish)
  • 2 green onions, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions:

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine soy sauce, gochujang, honey, sesame oil, garlic, ginger, black pepper, and rice vinegar.
  2. Place the chicken wings in a large resealable bag or dish. Pour the marinade over, ensuring wings are well-coated. Seal and refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
  3. Preheat your grill or oven to medium-high heat (about 400°F / 200°C).
  4. Remove wings from marinade and discard the marinade. Grill wings for about 5-7 minutes per side or bake in the oven for 25-30 minutes.
  5. Transfer wings to a serving platter, sprinkle with sesame seeds and chopped green onions, and serve hot.
