Ingredients:

  • ½ cup (120ml) mayonnaise (full-fat recommended)
  • 1-2 tablespoons (15-30ml) Sriracha hot sauce
  • 1 teaspoon (5ml) rice vinegar (unseasoned)
  • ½ teaspoon (2.5ml) sesame oil (toasted)
  • ½ teaspoon (2.5ml) soy sauce (low-sodium)
  • ¼ teaspoon (a pinch) garlic powder
  • Optional: 1 teaspoon (5ml) lemon or lime juice

Instructions:

  1. In a mixing bowl, add the mayonnaise, sriracha, rice vinegar, sesame oil, soy sauce, and garlic powder.
  2. Whisk all ingredients together until completely smooth and well combined. Ensure there are no streaks of sriracha.
  3. Taste the spicy mayo and adjust the level of sriracha or lemon/lime juice, according to your preferences.
  4. For optimal flavour melding, cover the bowl and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving. This allows the flavours to marry and deepen.
  5. Serve immediately or store in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
