Ingredients:

  • 1 cup (150g) fresh or frozen strawberries, hulls removed
  • 4 oz (120ml) Tequila Blanco (100% Agave)
  • 2 oz (60ml) freshly squeezed lime juice
  • 1.5 oz (45ml) orange liqueur (Cointreau or Triple Sec)
  • 1.5 tbsp (22.5ml) agave nectar
  • 1 cup (140g) ice cubes
  • 2 tbsp coarse sea salt
  • 1 tsp lime zest
  • 1 lime wedge

Instructions:

  1. Combine coarse sea salt and lime zest on a small shallow plate. Run a lime wedge around the rim of two chilled margarita glasses and dip the outer edges into the salt mixture at a 45-degree angle.
  2. Place strawberries, tequila, lime juice, orange liqueur, and agave nectar into a high-speed blender. Add ice cubes if using fresh berries or for a frozen texture.
  3. Pulse three times to break down the fruit, then blend on high for 30 seconds until the mixture achieves a crimson, uniform consistency.
  4. Taste for sweetness balance, then pour immediately into the prepared glasses.
