Instructions:

  1. In a small saucepan, mix apricot preserves, rice vinegar, soy sauce, sesame oil, garlic powder, ground ginger, and red pepper flakes.
  2. Place the saucepan over medium heat.
  3. Whisk the mixture until smooth and combined.
  4. Bring to a gentle simmer, then reduce heat. Cook for about 2-3 minutes, stirring frequently until slightly thickened.
  5. Remove from heat and let the sauce cool for a few minutes.
  6. Transfer to a serving jar or container. Garnish with chopped green onion if desired.
