Ingredients:

  • 2 tablespoons Garlic powder
  • 2 tablespoons Onion powder
  • 1 tablespoon Dried oregano
  • 1 tablespoon Paprika (plain or smoked)
  • 1 tablespoon Ground cumin
  • 1 tablespoon Black pepper, freshly ground
  • 2 teaspoons Chili powder (adjust to taste for heat)
  • 2 teaspoons Turmeric powder
  • 1 teaspoon Dried cilantro (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon Cayenne pepper (optional, for extra heat)

Instructions:

  1. In a small mixing bowl, combine all the adobo seasoning ingredients: garlic powder, onion powder, oregano, paprika, cumin, black pepper, chili powder, turmeric, dried cilantro (optional), and cayenne pepper (optional).
  2. Use a whisk or fork to thoroughly blend all the spices together until evenly distributed. Break up any clumps.
  3. Taste the seasoning blend and adjust the ingredients to your preference. If you want more heat, add more cayenne pepper. For a smoky flavor, use smoked paprika.
  4. Transfer the adobo seasoning to an airtight container. Store in a cool, dark place for up to 6 months.
