Ingredients:

  • 6 medium apples, peeled, cored, and sliced (about 1.5 kg)
  • 1/4 cup (50g) granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 cup (120g) old-fashioned rolled oats
  • 1 cup (130g) all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 cup (150g) light brown sugar, packed
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup (115g) unsalted butter, melted

Instructions:

  1. Peel, core, and slice the apples. In a bowl, toss the apple slices with granulated sugar, cinnamon, and lemon juice. Spread the apple mixture evenly in the baking dish.
  2. In a separate bowl, combine oats, flour, brown sugar, and salt. Pour in the melted butter and mix until crumbly.
  3. Spread the topping evenly over the apple mixture. Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 30 minutes or until the apples are bubbly and the topping is golden brown.
  4. Allow the crisp to cool for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy warm!
