Ingredients:

  • 4–6 dried ghost peppers (or 2–3 tablespoons ghost pepper flakes)
  • 1 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon honey (optional)
  • Lime juice, to taste (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Wear gloves to avoid irritation. Remove stems and seeds from ghost peppers.
  2. In a small saucepan, combine ghost peppers, apple cider vinegar, sugar, water, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper.
  3. Bring the mixture to a simmer over medium heat. Stir frequently until the sugar is dissolved, about 3-5 minutes.
  4. Let the mixture cool slightly, then transfer it to a blender. Blend until smooth.
  5. Taste the sauce and adjust sweetness or acidity if needed (add honey or lime juice). Blend again if necessary.
  6. Pour the sauce into a clean jar and let it cool to room temperature. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow flavors to meld.
