Ingredients:
- 4–6 dried ghost peppers (or 2–3 tablespoons ghost pepper flakes)
- 1 cup apple cider vinegar
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup water
- 1 tablespoon garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon honey (optional)
- Lime juice, to taste (optional)
Instructions:
- Wear gloves to avoid irritation. Remove stems and seeds from ghost peppers.
- In a small saucepan, combine ghost peppers, apple cider vinegar, sugar, water, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper.
- Bring the mixture to a simmer over medium heat. Stir frequently until the sugar is dissolved, about 3-5 minutes.
- Let the mixture cool slightly, then transfer it to a blender. Blend until smooth.
- Taste the sauce and adjust sweetness or acidity if needed (add honey or lime juice). Blend again if necessary.
- Pour the sauce into a clean jar and let it cool to room temperature. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow flavors to meld.
