- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 1/4 cup fresh lime juice (about 2 limes)
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 teaspoons ground cumin
- 2 teaspoons chili powder
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper (adjust for heat preference)
- 2 pounds flank steak or skirt steak, sliced into thin strips
Instructions:
- In a mixing bowl, combine olive oil, lime juice, soy sauce, and minced garlic.
- Add cumin, chili powder, smoked paprika, black pepper, salt, and cayenne. Whisk until combined.
- Place the sliced steak in a plastic resealable bag or shallow dish.
- Pour the marinade over the beef, ensuring it is fully coated.
- Seal the bag or cover the dish and chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes, preferably overnight for maximum flavor.
- Preheat your grill or skillet over medium-high heat.
- Remove the beef from the marinade, allowing excess marinade to drip off.

- Remove beef from heat and let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing.
- Serve with tortillas and your favorite toppings!
