Ingredients:

  • 1 cup (200g) granulated sugar
  • 1 cup (240ml) water (for simple syrup)
  • 1 cup (approximately 8-10) fresh lime juice (240ml)
  • 4 cups (960ml) cold water
  • Lime slices, for garnish (optional)
  • Mint sprigs, for garnish (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Combine sugar and water in a saucepan. Heat over medium heat, stirring until sugar is completely dissolved. Simmer for 1-2 minutes. Remove from heat and let cool completely.
  2. Juice the limes to yield 1 cup (240ml) of fresh juice. Discard the seeds.
  3. In a large pitcher, combine the cooled simple syrup, lime juice, and cold water. Stir well to combine.
  4. For a colder limeade, chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
  5. Pour over ice and garnish with lime slices and mint sprigs, if desired. Enjoy!
