Ingredients:
- 1 cup (200g) granulated sugar
- 1 cup (240ml) water (for simple syrup)
- 1 cup (approximately 8-10) fresh lime juice (240ml)
- 4 cups (960ml) cold water
- Lime slices, for garnish (optional)
- Mint sprigs, for garnish (optional)
Instructions:
- Combine sugar and water in a saucepan. Heat over medium heat, stirring until sugar is completely dissolved. Simmer for 1-2 minutes. Remove from heat and let cool completely.
- Juice the limes to yield 1 cup (240ml) of fresh juice. Discard the seeds.
- In a large pitcher, combine the cooled simple syrup, lime juice, and cold water. Stir well to combine.
- For a colder limeade, chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
- Pour over ice and garnish with lime slices and mint sprigs, if desired. Enjoy!
