Ingredients:
- 1 large head of cauliflower (approx. 700g / 1.5 lbs), cut into florets
- 2 tbsp olive oil (30 ml)
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp dried sage
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/4 tsp smoked paprika
- 1/4 tsp mustard powder
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
- Optional: 1 tbsp nutritional yeast (for a cheesy flavour)
- Optional: Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish
Instructions:
- Rinse the cauliflower florets and pat them dry with a clean kitchen towel.
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the olive oil, onion powder, dried sage, garlic powder, smoked paprika, mustard powder, salt, pepper, and nutritional yeast (if using).
- Add the cauliflower florets to the bowl with the spice mix. Toss well to ensure each floret is evenly coated.
- Preheat the air fryer to 200°C (400°F) if required (refer to your air fryer manual). Arrange the cauliflower florets in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Don’t overcrowd the basket; cook in batches if necessary.
- Air fry for 15-20 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through, until the cauliflower is tender and golden brown. Check for doneness by piercing a floret with a fork; it should be easily pierced.
- Remove the cauliflower from the air fryer and transfer to a serving dish. Garnish with fresh parsley (optional) and serve immediately.
