Ingredients:

  • 1 tbsp Organic Black Chia Seeds (12g)
  • 1 tbsp Cold Milled Golden Flaxseed Meal (7g)
  • 1 tbsp Raw Hemp Hearts (10g)
  • 1 tsp Roasted Pumpkin Seeds (5g)
  • 12 oz Filtered Water
  • 0.25 tsp Ground Ceylon Cinnamon
  • 3 drops Liquid Monk Fruit
  • 1 pinch Himalayan Pink Salt

Instructions:

  1. Heat the water. Bring 12 oz of filtered water to exactly 175°F. Note: Boiling water can make the flax taste bitter and cooked.
  2. Measure the dry base. Place 12g chia seeds, 7g flaxseed meal, and 10g hemp hearts into your mug.
  3. Add the aromatics. Sprinkle in 0.25 tsp cinnamon and a pinch of pink salt. Observe the warm, woody scent as it hits the dry seeds.
  4. Pour and stir. Slowly pour half of the warm water over the seeds. Stir immediately for 30 seconds until no clumps remain.
  5. The first rest. Let the mixture sit for 5 minutes. This is when the chia starts to shatter its dry shell and bloom into a gel.
  6. Add the remaining water. Pour in the rest of the 12 oz of water.
  7. Emulsify. Use your milk frother or a whisk to mix for 15 seconds. Look for the water turning slightly milky.
  8. Sweeten. Add 3 drops of liquid monk fruit and stir gently.
  9. The final steep. Let the bariatric seed ritual recipe sit for another 15 minutes. Notice the liquid thickening into a velvety suspension.
  10. Top and serve. Garnish with 5g roasted pumpkin seeds right before sipping.
