Ingredients:
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup granulated sugar

- 1 cup pitted prunes, diced into sixths
- 1/2 cup toasted pecans, chopped

- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 3 tbsp whole milk or heavy cream
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13 inch baking pan with butter or non-stick spray.
- Dice the pitted prunes into sixths to ensure even distribution throughout the batter.
- In a large mixing bowl, beat the vegetable oil, granulated sugar, and eggs until the mixture is pale and slightly fluffy.
- Stir in the milk and vanilla extract.
- Gradually fold in the all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt using a wooden spoon, stirring until just combined.
- Gently fold in the diced prunes and chopped toasted pecans.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan, smooth the top, and bake for 40-45 minutes until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- While the cake is still hot, use a toothpick to poke holes across the entire surface of the cake.
- Whisk together the powdered sugar, milk or heavy cream, and vanilla extract until smooth, then pour immediately over the cake.
